Since I still long time to spend with my new iPod touch, I would not deny you a review on this. I was good in search of a processed media player with which I can not hear MP3s, but the move may also make some other things. See eg: photos, video clips, play, write memos, calendar function, retrieve mail via wifi, etc. The iPod touch is just not an MP3 player in the true sense, rather a kind of mini-computer.Actually, I was put off by Apple's prices are always proud the insane, but for about 180 € I finally get a top device (Software 3.1, purchase date Sept. 2009) and not want to miss it. The iPod is great in the hand, is intuitive and visually, of course, makes her a lot. This point is in the upmarket not unimportant. I would, in the near-perfect touch-screen display. A gentle tapping or finger painting is enough and it is all to easy movement.
Pity is, of course, that there are no folders feature for music files. Therefore, a freeware tool such as "MP3-Tag" absolute requirement, if not all tags are sorted properly. I have e.g. the folder name as album title and renamed as MP3 tracks then each file name, as my MP3 tags, not all fit.

All in all, outweigh the positive points. The large display is of course a power-hungry, but you can make a compromise in which to activate the automatic brightness control and regulate the brightness down a bit. Also I still worried a leather bag on the go, for a display and keys together in a pants pocket, which is not so good, although the display glass is therefore very high, but you must not risk, yes.
